eMadlangeni Local Municipality is a local municipality in KwaZulu-Natal, covering 3 539 square kilometres. It falls within the Amajuba District Municipality. Its main centre is Utrecht.
Census 2022 counted 36 948 residents, making it the 52nd most populous of the 54 municipalities in KwaZulu-Natal and 232nd of 257 nationally. That works out to 10.4 people per square kilometre. The council has 11 seats across 5 parties, with ANC holding the largest share at 4 seats (36.4%). Hung Council governs the municipality. Mr Mzwakhe Buthelezi serves as executive mayor (IFP), and Mrs Grace Mavundla is municipal manager.
