Thembelihle Local Municipality is a local municipality in Northern Cape, covering 8 023 square kilometres. It falls within the Pixley Ka Seme District Municipality. It takes in the towns and settlements of Hopetown and Strydenburg.

Census 2022 counted 22 542 residents, making it the 22nd most populous of the 31 municipalities in Northern Cape and 246th of 257 nationally. That works out to 2.8 people per square kilometre. The population is very sparsely distributed across a large area. There are 5 211 households, averaging 4.3 people each. 29.2% of residents are under 15 and 8.0% are over 65. Among residents aged 20 and over, 7.6% hold a higher education qualification and 9.2% have had no schooling.

The council has 11 seats across 5 parties, with ANC holding the largest share at 5 seats (45.5%). Hung Council governs the municipality. Mr Marnus Visser serves as executive mayor (SGB), and Ms Kealeboga Gaborone is municipal manager.
