Kagisano-Molopo Local Municipality is a local municipality in North West, covering 23 827 square kilometres. It falls within the Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District Municipality. It takes in the towns and settlements of Piet Plessis and Pomfret.

Census 2022 counted 112 130 residents, making it the 17th most populous of the 22 municipalities in North West and 174th of 257 nationally. That works out to 4.7 people per square kilometre. The population is very sparsely distributed across a large area. There are 29 850 households, averaging 3.8 people each. 34.9% of residents are under 15 and 6.1% are over 65. Among residents aged 20 and over, 4.0% hold a higher education qualification and 18.5% have had no schooling.

The council has 29 seats across 5 parties, with ANC holding the largest share at 20 seats (69.0%). ANC governs the municipality. Mr Mosimanegape Diphikwe serves as executive mayor (ANC), and Mr Olebile Ntsimane is acting municipal manager.
