Thembisile Hani Local Municipality is a local municipality in Mpumalanga, covering 2 384 square kilometres. It falls within the Nkangala District Municipality. Its main centre is KwaMhlanga.

Census 2022 counted 431 248 residents, making it the 8th most populous of the 20 municipalities in Mpumalanga and 63rd of 257 nationally. That works out to 180.9 people per square kilometre. Settlement is concentrated rather than scattered. There are 110 563 households, averaging 3.9 people each. 28.3% of residents are under 15 and 6.1% are over 65. Among residents aged 20 and over, 5.4% hold a higher education qualification and 13.1% have had no schooling.

The council has 64 seats across 8 parties, with ANC holding the largest share at 40 seats (62.5%). ANC governs the municipality. Mr Lesetja Dikgale serves as executive mayor (ANC), and Mr DJD Mahlangu is municipal manager.
